Many things would be affected if magicians had unlimited powers.
For one, people’s finances would almost certainly be affected (mostly in a negative way) if magicians had unlimited power. You’d for instance, have a magician being able to go to, say, an online banking platform like to the www.capitalone.com login page and access any given person’s online capital account before proceeding to transfer the funds to his own account and leaving no trace! Thankfully, even with the most potent form of magic, this sort of a feat doesn’t seem to be possible – and we only have God to thank for the limitations He has put in malicious magicians’ way.
Secondly, politics would be affected (again mostly in a negative way) if magicians had unlimited power. You’d have the magicians using their powers to rule over the rest of the mere mortals who, on account of not having similar magical powers, would be reduced to hapless pawns by the magicians.
Thirdly, social dynamics would be effected if magicians had unlimited power. Under this scheme of things, a magician would, for instance, be in a position to grab a beautiful woman from a powerless man’s arm at any time, and with absolutely no resistance from the man.
